Ancient Gandhara Region, 2nd/3rd c.8,5 x 46,5 cm
The horizontal shaped relief sculpted in deep relief with five seated Buddha figures, each placed within an arched niche, the hands resting in dhyanamudra on their laps, wearing monastic garments, their faces displaying a serene expression with downcast eyes and their hairdo continuing into the ushnisha.
Former from an old European private collection, acquired in 1973
